Cantrell named to Centre College dean’s list
DANVILLE — Luke Cantrell of Winchester has been named to the dean’s list for the fall term at Centre College, an honor reserved for students who maintain at least a 3.6 grade point average.
Cantrell is the son of Kevin and Susan Cantrell of Winchester and is a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School.
Centre College, founded in 1819, is ranked among the U.S. News top 50 national liberal arts colleges. Forbes magazine ranks Centre in the top 100 among all the nation’s colleges and universities.
Broeking accepted to Culver-Stockton College
CANTON, MISSOURI — Levi Broeking of Winchester, a senior at George Rogers Clark High School, has been into Culver-Stockton College’s fall 2017 incoming class. Broeking also received the Trustees scholarship.
Culver-Stockton College, located in Canton, Missouri, is a four-year residential institution in affiliation with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Culver-Stockton specializes in experiential education and is one of only two colleges in the nation to offer the 12/3 semester calendar, where the typical 15 week semester is divided into two terms, a 12-week term and a 3-week term.
The C-SC Wildcats are members of the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
