Ernest Baber, 81, of Winchester, husband for 62 years to Gretta Baber, passed away Monday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. A native of Fayette County, he was born May 7, 1935, to the late Kelly and Viola Henry Baber. He retired from the United States Air Force and The Allen Company. He was a member of the Antioch Christian Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Sue Baber Banks and Mechelle (Dwight) Baber Banks all of Winchester, brother, Buddy Baber of Winchester, sister, Joyce Ann (Kenneth) Baber Craft of Winchester, three grandsons, Logan Banks, Daniel Merritt and Michael Merritt all of Winchester. Funeral services will be Friday, March 3, at 2pm at the Antioch Christian Church, 6091 Muddy Creek Road, with Atwood Winkle presiding. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1pm until the hour of services at the church. Burial will be in the Clarmont Memorial Gardens.
