Frances Mae Dobbs Robinson, 81, wife of Samuel Jones Robinson Jr., passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at her home in Winchester. She was born in Sloans Valley, Kentucky, on Jan. 21, 1939, to the late Harold and Golda Casada Dobbs.

Mrs. Robinson was retired after 27 years of service as a guidance counselor for George Rogers Clark High School and was a recipient of the Who’s Who Among American Universities and Colleges. She was a member of the Clark County Retired Teachers Committee, the Winchester Art Guild, and the Clark County Homemakers. Frances was an artist, loved poetry and was kind to all she met.

In addition to her loving husband of 51 years, she is survived by her daughter, Jamie (Emile) Hanton; two grandchildren, Reid and Charlotte Hanton; a great-niece, Christi (Nick) Fassas; great-nephew, Alan (Candi) Flynn; great-great-niece, Alyssa Flynn; great-great-nephews, Dean Flynn and Elias Fassas; and several cousins.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Scobee Funeral Home by Pastor Farley Stuart. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service on Thursday.
