Teacher training workshop

First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., will hosed Beverly J. Sonnier for a teacher training workshop from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21. The workshop will include an in-depth training about teaching the gospel and building a strong Christian education ministry. This training is for teachers, deacons, ministers and anyone interested in learning more about teaching the gospel. Cost is $15 per person, or group rates apply. Food pantry at First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., operates a food pantry in partnership with God’s Pantry from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday at the church. The pantry is open to those in need and for donations from the community. For more information, call the church at 744-6624.

Services at First Presbyterian

Worship services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Adult, children and youth Sunday school classes begin at 9:30 a.m. There will be a potluck with country ham, city ham and biscuits at 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Bring a side, salad or dessert to share. Even if you can’t bring a dish, still come to share in fellowship. There will be line dancing from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the fellowship hall.
