Fireside Chats return to Fort Boonesborough in Feb.

In collaboration with the Fort Boonesborough Foundation, Fort Boonesborough State Park will host a series of “Fireside Chats” featuring famous characters from Kentucky history.
Beginning Feb. 8, Fort Boonesborough State Park will offer a “Taste of Frontier Fare” from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. followed by the historical program at 6:45 p.m.
Programs include:
— Feb. 8: Daniel Boone, Kentucky explorer and pioneer, portrayed by Kevin Hardesty.
— Feb. 15: Col. John Holder, early pioneer, portrayed by David Trimble.
— Feb. 22: Daniel Trabue, early Kentucky pioneer who kept a journal of his life, presented by Richard Phelps
— Feb. 29: Maggie Delaney, indentured servant, portrayed by Carol Jarboe.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12.
