GRC boys, girls move up in latest media poll

After big weeks from both basketball teams at George Rogers Clark, the Cardinals jumped up one spot in this week’s boys and girls 10th Region Media Poll.
The boys team takes over the top spot in the rankings after they beat former No. 1 Bourbon County 77-65.
The boys also picked up a 69-56 win against Scott High Friday night to keep their undefeated mark against 10th Region opponents intact.
GRC’s Lady Cardinals had a big week on the hardwood as well, picking up two wins over quality teams.
The Lady Cardinals began their week with a 56-35 win against Bourbon County, a top five team in the region.
They were also able to come away with a 57-54 win against Paul Laurence Dunbar Friday night before falling to one of the best team’s in the nation, St. Joseph Central, 71-49 Saturday afternoon.
The boys poll has 17 voting media members and the girls poll has 16 members.
The poll shows team rankings, first-place votes, total points earned in the poll and their change compared to last week’s rankings.
