Five players from Robert D. Campbell Jr. High School were selected to compete in the All-Star Classic this weekend.

The three eighth-grade players selected were Hunter Gulley, Brian Crawford and Ty Miller.

Seventh-graders representing Campbell will be Tylan Wilburn and Nagee Harris.

The top seventh and eighth-grade football players from around the state are selected by the Kentucky Middle School Football Association (KMSFA).

The players will participate in a combine, then get drafted to their team. After teams are drafted, the kids battle it out on the field over Thanksgiving weekend.

There were 50 eighth-graders from around the state picked to participate in the activities over the weekend, and Campbell is sending three of them.

The All-Star Classic will be held at Frederick Douglass on Sunday, Dec. 1.
