Marcus Lisle Raney, Jr., 73, husband of Carolyn Sue Baber Raney, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019.

He was born in Clark County, Kentucky, on January 19, 1946, to the late Marcus Lisle Raney, Sr. and Sudie “Sue” Mae Epperson Raney. He was retired from Rockwell International and previously worked at Sylvania. He enjoyed fishing, camping, antique cars and was a volunteer coach for little league baseball for more than 25 years. Above all he loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his loving wife of 53 years, he is survived by three sons, Marcus Lisle (Kim) Raney III, Wesley N. Raney, and Kyle A. (Brooke) Raney; five grandchildren, Connor Raney, Hunter Marcus Raney, Austin Lisle Raney, Parker David Raney and Madeline Kye Raney; two sisters, Susan Lynn Raney Noel and Phyllis (Robert Jr.) Hart; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Services will be at 11:00AM, Monday, November 25, 2019 at Calvary Christian Church by Pastor Mike McCormick. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Connor Raney, Hunter Marcus Raney, Austin Lisle Raney, Henry Branham, William Alan Perry and Lloyd Stanfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Parker David Raney, Madeline Kye Raney, Doyle Stone, William Perry, David Puckett, Robert Hart and Bill Baber.

Scobee Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Calvary Christian Church from 4:00-6:00PM.
