The sixth-grade team opened up the games by jumping out to a 17-13 lead by halftime. The second half saw Campbell outscore LCA by an 18-6 margin to come away with a 35-19 win.

The seventh-grade team struggled after falling behind early in the first quarter. The Cardinals continued to battle after the shaky start but ultimately fell to the Eagles 64-24.

The eighth-grade team had one of its best performances of the season led by their center who finished the game with a team-high 12 points.

The high-pressure defense of the Cardinals held LCA to four points in the first period and helped the Cards jump out to a 22-14 lead at halftime.

An offensive surge in the third quarter put the game out of reach as the defense once again held the Eagles to four points in the period, giving the Cards a 37-18 lead heading into the final period.

The Cardinals dominated in the fourth as well, giving them a 51-32 win to move the eighth-grade team to an undefeated 3-0 start to the season as well as a 2-0 start in conference play.

The team will be back in action Thursday night when RDC welcomes McNabb Middle for another triple header with sixth-grade’s game scheduled to tip at 5:30 p.m.
