GRC duo finishes fourth in Casting with the Cards

The George Rogers Clark bass fishing team headed to Herrington Lake over the weekend to host their Casting with the Cards tournament.
The tournament saw 81 boats hit the water on Saturday, with GRC entering seven teams of their own.
GRC’s Alex Dunaway and Avery Brown were the top anglers from their seven teams, finishing in fourth place. The duo caught five fish weighing in at 7.9 pounds.
The Cardinals had two more teams of their teams finish in the top 20 of their event.
Wyatt Cornett and Seth Deburlet caught three fish for 4.2 pounds, good enough for a 13th place finish.
Allen Powe and Jonathan Combs finished in 16th and caught three fish for 3.7 pounds.
The top three teams from the weekend all received specially designed tournament plaques made by GRC seniors at the Clark County Area Technology Center.
The team’s next tournament is set for Saturday, Oct. 5 on Lake Cumberland.
