RDC boys golf has teams place in 1st and 3rd in regional tournament

Robert D. Campbell Jr. High sent two teams to compete in the nine-hole regional event at Winchester Country club on Saturday.
The two teams ended the tournament with first and third place finishes.
The winning team shot a 169 and were led by Jacob Settles who shot a 37, good enough for the second-best individual score of the tournament. The rest of the team included Clay Turley who shot a 41, Jace Patrick who shot a 45, McCaden Skeens who shot a 46 and Maddox Campbell who shot a 48.
The team who finished in third shot a 188 on the day. They were led by Joby Mitmesser and Hampton Taylor who each shot a 45, followed by Evan Taylor who shot a 46, Garrett Goldhahn who shot a 47 and Eli Craig who shot a 50.
The team’s performance in the event qualified them to compete in the state tournament.
Settles, Turley, Patrick, Skeens and Mitmesser will all be competing in the state tournament.
