Margaret “Granny” Elizabeth Baggerman McGuire, 86

Margaret “Granny” Elizabeth Baggerman McGuire, 86, widow of Kenneth E. McGuire, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019 at Clark Regional Medical Center.
Margaret was born in Bourbon County on March 22, 1933 to the late Garrett L. and Hazel J. Langford Baggerman. As a child she went to Mooresville School on Muddy Creek Road and was among the 1951 class of Old Clark County High School. She was a retired LPN from Clark County Hospital for 30 years. She was a former member of Landmark Baptist Church, attended Eastside Baptist Church and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was previously a box mother for GRC marching band and a homemaker.
She is survived by her two sons, Dwayne (Kathy) McGuire of Rome, Georgia and Gregory (Robbyn) McGuire of Winchester, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Angela D. (Matt) McGuire, Laura Kay (Matt) McGuire, Amanda (Tim) Ratcliffe and Rebekah McGuire; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth of 63 years and five siblings, Jimmy H. Baggerman, Garrett L. Baggerman, Louise N. Chism, Hazel J. Caudill and Dorothy E. Oaks.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00PM, Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Scobee Funeral Home by Pastors Ron Barker and Jimmy Muncie. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Brock, Ollie Royse, Timmy Ratcliffe, Nathaniel Conner, Randy Conner and Charles Matthew Hughes. Honorary pallbearers will be Madison Pillon, Rodney Guedel, Troy Clem, Steve Cope, Doug Brock, Bro. James McIntosh, Louis Adams, Joe Maloney, Jerry Tankersly, Donnie Wilson, Brandon McGuire, Matthew Nelson, Dwayne Stewart, Frank Davis and Buddy Haggard.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00PM, Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Scobee Funeral Home.
Family would like to extend a special heartfelt “Thank You” to Dr. Sandra Morris, Fountain Circle Care and Rehabilitation and the Clark County Generation Center. Granny will be greatly missed by her special friends and neighbors.
