Lunch, auction at Trinity UMC
Trinity United Methodist Church, 306 N. Main St., will host a lunch and silent auction at noon Sunday. Lunch will cost $5.
Revival at Log Lick Christian
Log Lick Christian Church will host a revival at 7 p.m. nightly Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26. Guest speaker will be Dennis Pasley. Special music will be performed each night by Randall Christopher on Monday, Andrew Spry on Tuesday, Sonny Saylor on Wednesday, Bill Curtis on Thursday and Harvie Spry on Friday. A homecoming celebration will take place July 28 with a meal following morning services.
Gospel singing at Evangelistic Outreach
Evangelistic Outreach Church, located at 8 N. Bloomfield Road, hosts gospel singings each Saturday at 6 p.m. Pastor is Ed Hopper.
Services at Liberty Bible Church of God
Services at Liberty Bible Church God are as follows: Sunday School, 9:30 a.m.; Sunday church services, 10:30 a.m.; Sunday evening Bible study, 6 p.m.; and youth group, 6 to 7 p.m. Sundays. The church also provides children’s church and nursery care. The Rev. Lonnie Storms will be preaching.
Services at First Christian Church
First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 24 E. Hickman St., will offer new programs for the summer. Beginning at 8:30 a.m. Sundays, early worship will be offered in the chapel through Aug. 25. This worship service is casual and will be led by members of the congregation.
Also beginning at 8:30 a.m. will be “Donut Days” for children and youth taught by Shawna Mitchell. There will be breakfast, camp songs, Bible memory verses, energizers, games, dances, songs, Bible races and snacks. Children can earn stickers each week by joining in on the fun, memorizing Bible verses, bringing a friend and bringing their Bible.
The adult fellowship class will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the chapel, and will offer an in-depth study of I and II Timothy and Titus, the pastoral epistles.
A new adult summer class will be offered at 9:45 a.m. in the Van Meter Library will be centered around the question “How would you preach this?” This lesson will be taught by the Rev. Jerry Johns, senior minister.
Traditional worship will begin at 10:45 a.m. in the sanctuary. All are welcome to join for programs.
Events at Trinity UMC
— Trinity United Methodist Church, 307 N. Main St., has Sunday services at 10:30 a.m.
— Trinity United Methodist Church Thrift Store is open every Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Food pantry at First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., operates a food pantry in partnership with God’s Pantry from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday at the church. The pantry is open to those in need and for donations from the community. For more information, call the church at 744-6624.
Services at First Presbyterian Church
Services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Worship will be lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults begin at 9:30 a.m. Sundays. Junior high and high school youth groups meet from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Sundays. All are welcome. The Rev. Ryan Bradney is pastor. Contact the church office at 744-3722 for more information.
