Clark County recently received nearly $63,000 in state funds to repair a pair of slipping roads.
The Kentucky Department of Highways recently announced emergency funding for a pair of road repair projects on Jackson Ferry and Old Ruckerville roads. The grants were for $21,280 and $41,600, respectively.
Clark County Judge-Executive Chris Pace said both roads had started to slip off the side of hills following all the rain during the last couple years. Both instances necessitated installing metal beams to support the road and prevent further slides, he said.
The grants cover about 80 percent of the project, both of which are complete.
