Arline Ann Hunter, 89

Arline Ann Hunter, 89, wife of 63 years to Clair Hunter, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester Ky. A native of Auburndale (Boston), Massachusetts, she was born on November 27, 1929 to Raymond and Agnes Riley. Arline raised 4 children while traveling to various parts of the world as a U.S. Marine wife. She volunteered in excess of 25, 000 hours for the Navy Relief Society. She crafted and gifted to thousands of people, including neonatal units in hospitals across the US, knitted and crocheted items. An avid baker, she gifted many around her with her made-from-scratch banana bread, snickerdoodles, brownies or chocolate chip cookies. To the Winchester Fire-EMS personnel, she was known as the “brownie lady”. She was a long time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her 4 children; Kathleen Burgher, Wayne (Patti) Hunter, Eric (Candace) Hunter and Bruce (Kristianna) Hunter; 8 grandchildren; Elzie (Leslie) Burgher III, Hillary (Tristen)Truesdell, Wayne “T”(Annie) Hunter, Ryan Hunter, Riley Hunter, Seth Hunter, Addison Hunter, Kel Hunter; 5 great grandchildren; 5 sisters, Hazel Liptoi, Evelyn Amen, Charlotte Wedekind, Gail Riley and Virginia Yasko. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am, Saturday, June 29, 2019 at St Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery. A luncheon will follow in the hall at St. Joseph’s. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Visitation will be Friday, June 28, 2019 at Rolan G Taylor Funeral Home from 6-7 pm, with the Rosary at 7 pm.
