Burlin Clay Adams, 87, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at The Willows at Hamburg, Lexington.
He was born in Scott County, Kentucky, on February 9, 1932, to the late Shelby and Efie Centers Adams. He was a member of The Landmark Baptist Church, Winchester.
Burlin served his country for 26 years in the United States Air Force. He was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam wars and was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association.
He is survived by one son, James (Pat) Adams, Lawton, OK, and one daughter, Scarlett (Rick) Holtz, Grand Ronde, OR, brother, James (Betty) Adams, Burkburnet, TX, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, as well as sister-in-law, Barbara Adams, Winchester, and special cousin, Linda Crosslin, Winchester.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Shelby Adams, two sisters, Evelyn Barnett and Mary Parker, as well as his wife, Rita Adams.
Services will be at 11:00AM, Monday, June 24, 2019 at Scobee Funeral Home by Pastor Jim Muncie. Burial will be in the Clarmont Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00AM until time of service.
