CCPS makes food, learning accessible in summer

Four-year-old Devro McNeill sipped on his chocolate milk before opening his bag of spicy sweet chili Doritos Friday inside the colorful Cruisin’ Cafe.

The Clark County Public Schools summer feeding program bus and Book Bus, which began in 2017 as a way to promote summer reading and lifelong literacy, stopped on Oxford Drive Friday to allow neighborhood children to eat a free meal and pick out a free book.

Both buses are making rounds all summer throughout Clark County to bring “friends, fun and food.”
