Mary Florence Davidson Rogers, 95, widow of Allen Rogers went to spend eternity with her husband on June 7, 2019.
She was born June 1, 1924 as the only child of South and Emily Davidson and is survived by her only daughter, Dr. Anita G. Rogers (Mark Vance).
Mary began her career with South Central Bell where she became Chief Operator in Winchester. She then went to East Kentucky Power Cooperative where she retired as Director of Transportation and Protocol in 1988. After retirement she still wanted to work and became a part-time sales associate at McAlpins (now Dillards) until 1999. She enjoyed gardening, needlepoint, reading and dining out.
Private burial and service were held June 11, 2019 at Winchester Cemetery with Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family has asked that any donations to be made be sent to Rose Manor Health Care Facility, 3057 Cleveland Rd., Lexington, KY 40516 because they provided excellent care in the last 6 months of her life and we want to acknowledge and show appreciation of the care she received.
