Orville “Gene” King, 71, husband of Betty Jones King, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at his home.

A native of Winchester, Kentucky, he was born on April 24, 1948, to the late James W. and Ornia Crowe King. He was retired from Lexmark International and a veteran of the United States Army. 

In addition to his loving wife of 51 years, he is survived by one daughter, Casey Leigh King; two grandchildren, Destiny Mae King and Cameron Gene Wells; two brothers, James (Carolyn) King and Bobby (Mary) King; four sisters-in-law, Barbara (Doc) Elkin, Charlene Hatton, Sharron Olinger and Anna Wells; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be at 11:00AM, Friday, May 17, 2019 at Scobee Funeral Home by Pastors Todd Rader and Jimmy Brady. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Elkin, Scotty Elkin, James Wells, Harold Gene, Jeffery King, Doc Elkin and Jimmy Brady. 

Visitation will be from 10:00AM until time of service Friday.
