— Winchester-Clark County Chamber of Commerce banquet and awards ceremony, 5:30 p.m. at the Wainscott Building, 19 Wainscott Ave. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $55 each. Event is open to the public. For more information, call 744-5627.

FRIDAY, MAY 17

— Winchester Rotary Club meeting, noon at Woody’s, 923 Bypass Road. Guest speaker will be Stephanie Flanery, directing attorney for AppalReD legal aid.

— Healing Thru Art exhibit, 5 to 8 p.m. at Leeds Center for the Arts, 37 N. Main St. Deadline for submissions is May 13 with permission slips at 114 S. Maple St. or school offices. The event will be family and child-friendly. Hosted by the Clark County Mental Health Task Force and the Greater Clark Foundation.

— The Talleys in concert, 7 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church on Old Boonesboro Road. The concert is free and open to the community.

— Rock The Block summer concert series with Remember When Cruiserz, featuring Ray’s Music Exchange, 7 to 9 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Winchester. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnics to enjoy live music. There will be a free bounce house and slide for children. Food and drinks will be sold by West Sixth Brewing Beer Garden and D and D Concessions.

SATURDAY, MAY 18

— Absentee voting at Clark County Clerk Michelle Turner’s office, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays.

— Winchester-Clark County Farmers Market, 8 a.m. to noon on Depot Street.

— Karen T. Harris GRC Senior Cheerleader Scholarship 5K, 10 a.m. at Campbell Junior High School, 620 Boone Ave. Registration opens at 9 a.m. Cost is $15. Children of participating runners/walkers can also participate for $5. Funds raised will be used for a cheerleader scholarship and a donation to the American Heart Association. Harris coached the GRC cheerleading team from 1992 to 2003, leading the team to numerous championships, finals and state titles. To preregister or donate, email ruthieannetts@gmail.com.

— Joe F. Reed Memorial Heart Walk, 9:30 a.m. at Clark Regional Medical Center. — Clark Regional Medical Center Community Health Fair and Wellness Challenge finale, 10 a.m. at Clark Regional Medical Center. 2019 Wellness Challenge winners announced at noon. Health screenings, door prizes, giveaways, fitness classes and more.

— Touch-a-Truck fundraiser for Bluegrass Children’s Academy, noon to 4 p.m. at the BCTC Winchester-Clark County Campus, 2020 Rolling Hills Lane. Cost is $5 per person or $20 per family. There will be a variety of vehicles for children to view along with a bounce house, food and other activities.
