LLL Club met April 16

Paul Christy, superintendent of Clark County Public Schools, was the guest speaker at the April 16 meeting and potluck luncheon of the LLL Club at Central Baptist Church.

He spoke of the different programs and test scores in the school system.

President David Hoffman conducted the meeting and led the group in prayer.

Bob Quick led the group in singing “At The Cross” and “The Old Rugged Cross” accompanied by Peggy Snowden on the piano.

Hoffman introduced Shelby Gill, who gave the devotion “Go” based on Matthew 28:18-20. Gill closed with prayer.

Gayle Crowe read the minutes of the last meeting and Phyllis Henderson gave the treasurer’s report. Both were approved as read.

Out to Lunch will be May 7 and the club will be going to Windy Corner. The bus will leave the church at 10:30. The next monthly meeting will be May 21 at 10:30 a.m.

“Happy Birthday” was sung to Carolyn Todd.

Hoffman read the prayer list and gave the table blessing.

Lunch was served to members Juanita Burkhart, Gayle Crowe, Mary Dinsmore, Ken and Barbara Durkin, Patt Gibbs, Jo Gravett, Phyllis Henderson, David and Glenda Hoffman, Anita Jones, Jo Ann Pelphrey, Bob Quick, Bonnie Sartin, Margie Sidwell, Dr. Bill and Peggy Snowden, Sammy Thomas, Carolyn Todd, Mary Watts, Donnie and Julie Woosley, and Conard and Geraldine Young. Guests were Ruby Green, Greg Groen, Lynn Hensley, Bill Kennon, and Donald and Brenda Parker.
