Services, yard sale at Liberty Bible Church of God

—  Services at Liberty Bible Church God are as follows: Sunday School, 9:30 a.m.; Sunday church services, 10:30 a.m.; Sunday evening Bible study, 6 p.m.; and youth group, 6 to 7 p.m. Sundays. The church also provides children’s church and nursery care.

— There will be a yard sale at the church from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 4. In case of inclement weather, the sale will be moved into the church fellowship hall.

Broadway Baptist celebrates pastor’s anniversary

Broadway Baptist Church, 121 W. Broadway St., will celebrate the 18th anniversary of the church’s pastor, the Rev. Dr. Samuel U. Peoples with a service at 11:15 a.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Stewart T. Peoples.

Gospel singing at Evangelistic Outreach

Evangelistic Outreach Church, located at 8 N. Bloomfield Road, hosts gospel singings each Saturday at 6 p.m. Pastor is Ed Hopper.

Services at First Christian

First Christian Church, 24 E. Hickman St., offers worship services at 10:45 a.m. Sundays. There is a children’s sermon given each Sunday, along with a children’s “Worship and Wonder” class. Communion is served each Sunday and all who attend are invited to share in it. Services include music from the church’s choir, pianist and organist.

Lamb and Lion Ministries Prophecy Conference

Grace Bible Church will play host to the Lion and Lamb Ministries Regional Prophecy Conference Friday through Sunday. The Friday session will be from  5:30 to 9 p.m. and will include exhibits, a concert by Southern Raised and a keynote address. Saturday’s sessions will run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with exhibits, presentations from Billy Crone on The Destiny of Israel, Dave Reagan on the The Destiny of the Nations, Tim Moore about The Destiny of America, Nathan Jones about The Destiny of Islam and Dave Reagan about The Destiny of the Church. Sunday’s session will include a question and answer event with Dave Reagan at 9:15 a.m. followed by a 10:30 a.m. morning worship service. The church is located at 250 N. Installation service for new pastor

Corinthian Baptist Church, 37 Fifth St., will host installation services for the Rev. Ronald L. Burns, the church’s new pastor, following morning worship services at 11 a.m. Sunday at the church. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Reginald Davis of Macedonia Baptist Church in Keene, Kentucky. Afternoon installation services will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Dr. T.H. Peoples of Historic Pleasant Green Baptist Church in Lexington. The public is invited to both services.

Food pantry at First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., operates a food pantry in partnership with God’s Pantry from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday at the church. The pantry is open to those in need and for donations from the community. For more information, call the church at 744-6624.

Services at  Salem Church at Pine Grove

The congregation of Salem Church at Pine Grove, 312 Combs Ferry Road, continues its celebration of the Resurrection this Sunday by looking at one of the appearances of Christ to His disciples, as recounted in the Gospel of John, chapter 20. This week’s worship service at “The Small Country Church with a Big Heart for Jesus” will be back to the regular time of 11 a.m. and will be followed by “Pizza and Proverbs,” a study of the wisdom literature of the Bible.

Services at First Presbyterian Church

Services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Worship will be lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults begin at 9:30 a.m. Sundays.
