CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF

Charged

— Justin McClelland, 22, of 603 Venable Road, was charged March 29 with driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended operator’s license and improper start.

— Leonard Sparks, 37, of Jeffersonville, was charged April 2 with driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance.

— Michael D. Wortham, 24, of 128 Andover Drive, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence.

— Johnny Bryant, 55, of Hazard, was charged Sunday with speeding, driving under the influence, driving on a suspended operator’s license, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, prescription controlled substance not in proper container, reckless driving, following a vehicle too closely and possession of marijuana.

Reports

— At 1:39 p.m. Friday, deputies were called to 1025 Agawam Road for a fraud complaint involving the caller’s credit card information.

— At 10:55 a.m. Friday, deputies were called to 13168 Iron Works Road after a stolen lawn mower was found at the address.

— At 8:40 p.m. Saturday, deputies were called to Fountain Circle Health and Rehabilitation, 200 Glenway Road, concerning a possible person making threats.

— At 3:44 p.m. Friday, deputies were called to 1067 Two Mile Road after someone stole speakers, sunglasses and cash from a vehicle.

Accidents

— At 4:06 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Pine Ridge Road in which Wydine H. Cruse of 805 Lillies Ferry Road was stopped on the road when her hand slipped off the clutch and the motorcycle lunged forward into a barbed wire fence. Cruse was flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center with facial injuries.

WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS

— During the weekend, EMS personnel responded to 42 general medical calls, three cardiac cases, four respiratory cases, one diabetic case, one seizure and three overdoses.

— At 7:28 p.m. Friday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at 950 Rolling Hills Lane.

— At 8:07 p.m. Friday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at Boone and Belmont avenues.

— At 2:15 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at Frontier Way and Bypass Road.

— At 4:06 p.m. Saturday, EMS personnel responded to a motorcycle accident at Embs and Pine Ridge roads.

— At 4:36 p.m. Saturday, EMS personnel responded to a motor vehicle accident at Four Mile Road and Branch Lane.

— At 7:14 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a Dumpster fire at 301 W. Broadway St.

— At 11:59 a.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 960 Interstate Drive. It was a false alarm.

— At 5:25 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at 55 N. Main St.

— At 5:57 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident at West Lexington Avenue and Maple Street.

— At 8:08 p.m. Sunday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 14 Churchill Drive. It was a false alarm.

— At 8:17 a.m. Friday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 321 Mount Sterling Road.

— At 1:41 p.m. Friday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 1934 Ford Hampton Road.

— At 7:36 p.m. Friday, firefighters responded to an alarm sounding at 3250 McClure Road.

— At 3:04 p.m. Saturday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 2170 Mina Station Road.

— At 4:08 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to an injury accident at Embs and Pine Ridge roads.

— At 4:36 p.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to an injury accident at Four Mile Road and Branch Lane.

— At 10:32 p.m. Saturday, firefighters were called to Rockwell and Van Meter roads for an investigation.

— At 2:59 p.m. Sunday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 451 Mount Vernon Drive.

— At 5:42 p.m. Sunday, firefighters assisted EMS personnel with a call at 451 Mount Vernon Drive.

WINCHESTER POLICE

Charged

— Miranda Raie Chandler, 44, was charged Friday with first-degree wanton endangerment.

— Alvin Taylor Crowe, 58, was charged Friday with first-degree criminal trespass, alcohol intoxication, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

— Cody Scott Newton, 23, was charged Sunday with fourth-degree assault.

— Nash Lee Robinson, 21, was charged Friday with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (four counts).

— Dzenana Samardzic, 25, was charged Friday with endangering the welfare of a minor.

— Savannah B. Stephenson, 19, was charged Friday with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.

— Robert M. Turner, 41, was charged Friday as a fugitive from another state.

— Andrew Ray Worley, 23, was charged Sunday with fourth-degree assault and was served a warrant.

Reports

— At 12:06 a.m. Friday, officers were called to 225 Oxford Drive concerning a 2-year-old left home along with drugs on the table. Dzenana Samardzic was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a minor.

— At 12:25 a.m. Friday, officers were called to 5 W. Broadway St. for a trespassing complaint. Alvin Crowe was arrested on multiple charges.

— At 12:41 a.m. Friday, officers were called to 204 Jackson St. after a fence was damaged.

— At 7:25 p.m. Friday, officers took a report concerning a person sending harassing text messages.

— At 7:50 p.m. Friday, officers were called to 614 N. Main St. concerning an assault.

— At 3:09 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to 44 Lincoln St. concerning a person making threats.

— At 7:12 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to 318 S. Burns Ave. after a handgun was taken from a vehicle.

— At 9:54 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to 545 Earlymeade Drive concerning the theft of a handgun and checkbook from a vehicle.

— At 12:58 p.m. Saturday, officers took a report for terroristic threatening.

— At 5:47 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to 241 Jackson St. concerning a stolen motorcycle.

— At 4:54 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to 143 E. Broadway St. after someone broke a car window during the night.

— At 8:56 a.m. Sunday, officers were called to 100 Winchester Plaza for a fight in progress. Andrew Ray Worley and Cody Scott Newton were arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault.

— At 12:52 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 116-1/2 E. Broadway St. after someone broke into a vehicle.

Accidents

— At 5:25 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to an injury accident at Dairy Queen, 55 N. Main St. Police said Kimberly R. Martin of 115 Pendleton St. stopped in the parking lot to let a passenger, Jerry Garr, get out of the vehicle. Meanwhile, Christopher B. Ferguson of Mount Sterling was backing out of a parking space and struck Martin’s vehicle, pinning Garr between the car and the door. Garr was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with a possible leg injury and chest pains.
