The death of a Winchester woman in February has been ruled an accident.

Amanda Bailey, 26, was dead off Concord Road in Richmond Jan. 31, just two days after she went missing from the Lake Reba area in Madison County.

An autopsy from the state examiner’s office found there were no injuries and the cold weather was likely a contributing factor.

According to Bailey’s family, she had gone to Lake Reba to meet and talk with her ex-boyfriend Jan. 29. He told police she walked away and he did not see her again.

She was reported missing the next day after she did not arrive to take her daughter to a scheduled doctor’s appointment.

He body was found on a farm about three miles from the area she was last seen.

Bailey’s told The Sun previously she was a fun-loving and easy-going country girl who would have celebrated her 27th birthday in February.

Bailey was born in Winchester but grew up in Richmond. Hampton said she recently returned to Clark County, where she lived in an apartment in her dad, David’s, home. She was employed at New Leaf Staffing.

The state medical examiner also ruled a death that occurred near the same location as Bailey’s an accident. But the Madison County Coroner’s office said the two cases were not connected.
