Cupid shuffle: Stay local for Valentine’s events

Love is in the air.

Clark County has an abundance of Valentine’s Day events this week.

Wednesday, parents can share the love with their children on the dance floor at the Parent/Child Zumba Valentine’s Party at College Park Gym. Registration for the event has closed.

Next up, is Valentine’s Dinner at 5 p.m. Friday at the Winchester Elks Lodge. Bring your sweetheart and join the Elks for an evening of food and music. The Elks will treat couples with a rib-eye dinner which includes a salad, baked potato and roll for $18.95. Music by Anthony Fannin and Friends starts at 7 p.m. RSVP to Cheryl Harrison to reserve a spot.

The Valentine’s Day festivities continue this weekend with a chocolate pairing and chocolate dipped wineglass rendezvous. The wine pros at Harkness Edwards Vineyards will show guests the several wines that make excellent pairings with chocolate from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday or Sunday at 5199 Combs Ferry Road.

Ephesus Baptist Church, at 500 Stoner-Ephesus Road, will have an Ephesus Valentine Banquet from 4-7 p.m. Saturday. The event will feature a potluck style meal and a men’s dessert contest.
