LLL Club has January meeting

The LLL Club hosted its regular meeting and potluck luncheon Jan. 15 at Central Baptist Church.
President David Hoffman called the meeting to order and gave the opening prayer.
Lila Omohundro led the group in singing “The Unclouded Day” and “Bringing in the Sheaves” accompanied by Peggy Snowden on the piano.
Ed Dearing, devotional speaker, read Exodus 15:2 on “God Is So Good,” and closed with prayer.
Hoffman introduced the guest speaker, Clark County Attorney William Elkins, who gave his personal testimony and spoke of his duties for the county.
The minutes were read by Gayle Crowe and treasurer’s report was read by Phyllis Henderson.
“Out To Lunch” will be Feb. 5 to Cheddar’s in Lexington.
The next club meeting will be Feb. 19.
Hoffman gave the prayer list and BJ Wasson closed the meeting with prayer and gave the table blessing.
Lunch was served to members Juanita Burkhart, Gayle Crowe, Ken and Barbara Durkin, Pat Gibbs, Jo Gravett, Phyllis Henderson, David and Glenda Hoffman, Lila Omohundro, Dr. Bill and Peggy Snowden, Bonnie Sartin, Margie Sidwell, Lunner Thacker, Mary Watts, Zane and Carol Williams, Donnie and Julie Woosley, and Conrad and Geraldine Young and guests Jebel Allege, Ed Dearing, William Elkins, Greg Groen and John Powell.
