Broadway Missionary Baptist celebrates 129 years

Broadway Missionary Baptist Church, 121 W. Broadway St., will celebrate their 129th church anniversary with the Rev. Robert Blythe of First Baptist Church, Richmond, as the guest at 3:30 p.m.

New series at Providence Baptist Church

Providence Baptist Church on Old Boonesboro Road is beginning a new series of lively discussions on apologetics and creation each Wednesday at 7 p.m. All are welcome to join.

Food pantry at First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church, 37 N. Highland St., will open a food pantry in partnership with God’s Pantry from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday at the church. The pantry will be open to those in need and for donations from the community. For more information, call the church at 744-6624.

Revival at El-Bethel UMC

El-Bethel United Methodist Church will host revival at 7 p.m. nightly through Saturday with former pastor Randy Coy. There will be special music from The Graham Family on Saturday. A homecoming service will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday, with a potluck lunch to follow.

Homecoming celebration at Hill Street Pentecostal

The 66th annual homecoming celebrating at Hill Street Pentecostal Church of God, 308 Hill St., will begin today. Carl Martin of Carryville, Tenn., will preach tonight and Darrell Alexander of Fairfield, Ohio, will preach Saturday night. Evening services begin at 7 p.m. Sunday service will begin at 11 a.m., with Gene Johns of Lexington, preaching. Dinner will follow the Sunday service. All services are open to the public.

Services at First Presbyterian Church

Services at First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Worship will be lively and traditional. Come dressed casual or formal, but more importantly, come expecting to be moved by the Spirit. Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults begin at 9:30 a.m. Sundays. Junior high and high school youth groups meet from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Sundays. All are welcome. The Rev. Ryan Bradney is pastor. Contact the church office at 744-3722 for more information.

Services at Liberty Bible Church God are as follows: Sunday School, 9:30 a.m.; Sunday church services, 10:30 a.m.; Sunday evening Bible study, 6 p.m.; and youth group, 5 to 7 p.m. Sundays. Interim pastor is Jerry Owen. Guest speaker is Brock Barnhouse.
