Rock conveyor would be blow to tourism

Clark County is the best county in the best state in the union. I had to move to Massachusetts to figure this out, and I’ll not make that mistake again.

 My husband, who is from Massachusetts, is coming to love Clark County, too.  So when he heard about the reopening of a defunct quarry, complete with a conveyor belt over the Kentucky River, he sketched this cartoon, as he was amused.

But we are not amused.

Those of us who are investing our sweat and treasure in the county see tourism as a useful tool for economic development.

A rock conveyor belt over the river does not help.
