Winchester, Clark honor their veterans

Clark Countians celebrated veterans at several different events Friday. Beginning at 8 a.m., Baker Intermediate opened its doors to veterans and their families to serve them breakfast followed by an assembly at 9:30 a.m.
Following the event at Baker a ceremony began at the College Park gym at 11 a.m. featuring George Rogers Clark’s JROTC program and a presentation from Honor Flight Ambassador George Campbell.
Additionally, the Winchester Walmart hosted a veterans event at noon followed by an event at Justice Elementary at 1 p.m.
Finally, Blue Isle Restaurant, 5 Shoppers Drive, served free meals to veterans all day.
Trinity First Church of God hosted a veterans ceremony Saturday morning.
On Monday, Golden Corral will offer a veteran appreciation dinner from 5-9 p.m.
