Kenny Book files for 14th term as city commissioner

Long-time city commissioner Kenny Book has filed for another term.
Book, 67, is completing his 26th year and 13th term on the Winchester Board of Commissioners.
In 2015, the entire city commission of Book, Rick Beach, Shannon Cox and Kitty Strode were re-elected to their fourth consecutive term as a group.
Book, a retired bookkeeper, has lived in Winchester for more than 55 years.
He owned Book’s Bookkeeping and Tax Service for 35 years before retiring in May 2016.
He currently serves on the Generation Center board, public works committee and the Bluegrass Rails to Trails board. Previous service has included the Clark County GIS Consortium, Strode Creek Conservancy, the Winchester-Clark County Parks and Recreation board and the Kentucky Waterways Alliance.
He has been married to the former Betty Christy and has two daughters, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
