CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF
Reports
— At 5 p.m. Tuesday, deputies took a report concerning a person making threats over Facebook.
— At 4 p.m. Tuesday, deputies took a report concerning a theft of jewelry from a residence.
Accidents
— At 7:22 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to an injury accident on Ecton Road in which Johnathan Thurber of 1278 Ecton Road was traveling west when he swerved to avoid an opossum in the road. the car went off the edge of the road, struck a concrete culvert and overturned. The vehicle then caught fire. Bystanders removed Thurber and the front-seat passenger, Christy D. Richardson of 209 Buffalo Trace, from the vehicle. A passenger in the back seat, 16-year-old Dillon Fields of 348 Hill St., who was pronounced dead at the scene. Thurber was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center and Richardson was transported to the university of Kentucky Medical Center.
WINCHESTER FIRE-EMS
— On Tuesday, EMS personnel responded to three general medical calls and two cardiac cases.
— At 5:53 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to an accident at 1128 W. Lexington Ave. between a vehicle and a moped.
— At 6:49 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to an accident at 43 N. Maple St. involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
— At 7:22 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to a fatal accident at Ecton Road and Veterans Memorial Parkway.
— At 7:41 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters were called to 149 French Ave. concerning a possible gas leak in a residence. Firefighters ventilated the residence and stood by until Columbia Gas officials arrived.

— At 7:22 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to a fatal accident at Veterans Memorial Parkway and Ecton Road.
WINCHESTER POLICE
Charged
— Ronald G. Wood, 52, was charged Tuesday with driving under the influence (first offense), one headlight, driving on a suspended license, failure to maintain insurance, no or expired registration plates and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia.
— Eddie R. Young, 42, was charged Tuesday with shoplifting under $500, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, theft on identity and was served two warrants.

— At 8:33 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to 16 Central Ave. concerning a wallet stolen from a vehicle overnight.
— At 10:10 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to 1307 W. Lexington Ave. concerning a domestic disturbance.
— At 12:06 p.m. Tuesday, officers took a report concerning fraudulent charges of $175 on a debit card.
— At 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to 101 N. Highland St. concerning vandalism of a vehicle.
— At 2:54 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to 148 W. Lexington Ave. concerning a domestic disturbance.
— At 3:35 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to 107 Linden Ave. concerning an assault.
— At 3:58 p.m. Tuesday, officers took a report concerning failure of a new owner to transfer a vehicle title into their name.
— At 4:27 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to 156 Strode Station Circle concerning theft of a Playstation 4 game console.
— At 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to 1859 Bypass Road concerning a shoplifter. Eddie Young was arrested and charged with multiple offenses.
— At 8:34 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to 175 Hospital Drive concerning a verbal altercation.
Accidents
— At 5:54 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to an injury accident on West Lexington Avenue in which. James Green of 194 Wabash Ave. Apt. 6, struck another vehicle, driven by Amy Hill of 90 Tyler Banks Court, from behind with his scooter. Green was transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
— At 6:49 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to an injury accident on North Maple Street in which Phillip L. Jackson of 317 Vanover Way was traveling north and struck a pedestrian, identified as Emery G. Southwood of 4 N. Maple St., Apt. 610. Southwood went into the air and landed in the road. Southwood was transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
