“It is a super fun time for the students and their families after a year of dedication and hard work,” said Danielle Bridgewater, owner of Dancer’s Pointe. “They get to celebrate all their hard work and accomplishments on the stage in front of family, friends, and the greater community in Clark County.”

Showtimes of this year’s concert are 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3 and 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 4.

In addition, the preschool show will be on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

Thematically, “Headlines” will be used.

Bridgewater explained in detail.

“What we’ve done is we’ve gone in our own [local] newspaper, and those newspaper stories will be told on stage through dance, music, acting, and more,” she said. “We just love a theme that is not only fun all the way around for our dancers and the audience, but challenging creatively [and] something to bring freshness and newness to the stage.”

Performers will be featured from various age groups – as young as two years old and through adult dancers.

“We have a ladies group that comes and takes a tap dance and they’ll be performing a routine,” Bridgewater mentioned. “These are moms and grandmas even.”

To the enthusiasm of many, a variety of genres will also be showcased.

These include jazz, contemporary, musical theater, hip hop, and more.

“[It’s] a lot of fun for our audience,” she added.

Bridgewater added perspective on modern dance.

“Dance is a live art form,” she said. “We want to treat it that way and approach it in a new way each time.”
