Ronnie Slone, 80, of Winchester, passed away peacefully at home on April 20, 2025. Born on August 3, 1943, in Inez, Kentucky, Ronnie was the son of the late Lark and Tennessee Slone. He dedicated many years of his life to hard work as a coal miner before retiring.
Ronnie will be remembered for his quiet strength, deep love for his family, and unwavering work ethic.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Velma Sue Slone; four daughters, Elizabeth (Craig) Gorham of Texas, Christine (Rick) Jones of Lexington, Veronica Slone of Mt. Sterling, and Meranda (Tucker) Wells of Tennessee; two sons, Christopher (Lucy) Slone and Joseph Slone, both of Winchester; grandchildren, Alisha (Clint), Alex, Cara, Cayla, Catherine (Nick), Johnathan, Kaylee, Thomas, Mackenzie ; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Mason, Jaxon, and Everynn.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Annetta Smith, and brother, Danny Slone.
