Dorothy Sue Moberly – Aunt Dot (92) Passed away peacefully April 17, 2025.
Dorothy was born January 16, 1933 along with her twin brother Doris, at the Levee in Montgomery Co Ky.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Stauder & Florence R. Witt, her brothers Doris L. Witt & Dallas R. Witt, her sister/best friend/partner in crime Alma Jean Vaughn.
She is survived by her son Gregg (Tammy) Moberly. Special niece Debra (Robert) Gilliland), nephew Steven Lail, nephew Donnie Witt, niece Linda Meshulum, great nephews and nieces David (Kristy) Aldridge, Stacy (Gilbert) Wilhold, Jim (Katie)
Gilliland, Keli (Brent) Osborne, Kristen (Lynn) Toler. Lauren (Ryan) Grigsby, Keaton (Maddie) Aldridge, Karlee (Ethan) Thomas, Lynn Lee Aldridge, Jake and Maddie Osborne, Cameron and Shelby Toler, Sara, Riley, and Drew Gilliland, Colten and Caden Wilhold, Faye Ann Witt, Everlee & Ellie Grigsby, Ryder & Wesley Aldridge.
Her passions were serving the Lord and her Family. Dot cherished her church family, she sang in the choir, was a Member of the LLL club and taught Sunday School for 30 years. She is a current member of Grace Baptist Church. One of her favorite Bible verses was Mark 5:36 – Be not afraid, only believe. Words she lived her life by. Her favorite times were spent going on the next adventure with Alma Jean, caring for her loving dogs, tending to her beautiful roses & flowers gardens, cooking for family gatherings and spending time with family and friends.
Dorothy and her family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Arcadian Cove Assisted Living Facility, especially Ladonna, Crystal, Hayleigh & Matt for their loving care and friendship. Also, to the staff at Boonesboro Trail Legacy Center and Hospice East in Winchester, their love and caring is so much appreciated.
Services will be held at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel by Pastor Pat Finley on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 6:00PM.
Visitation will begin at 4:00PM until the time of service at the chapel.
