Bill Kidd, 88, of Ironworks Rd, husband of Nancy R Beck , died on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Winchester Centre for health and rehabilitation. A native of Norton, VA, he was the son of the late Jess and Ruth Norris Kidd. Bill spent time in Seattle, WA in the early 1970’s where he met his wife Nancy and married on May 25, 1979. They relocated back to Winchester, Ky with Nancy’s 2 sons in 1983 where he remained until his death. Bill was a lifelong factory worker but spent most of his time hunting with his best friend Ernie and working on his guns and spending time with his beloved dog Red. Bill is survived by his wife Nancy and 2 sons- Kevin (Winchester)and Brian (Louisville); his sister Brenda Bowman-Travis (Frankfort); and numerous nieces and nephews. Those that remember Bill say he may of had a gruff exterior but he also had so many moments of kindness and a huge heart he didn’t like to show – especially when it came to Kevin and the rest of the adults in Winchester’s STRIDE program.
