As many are aware, February is recognized as Black History Month.
To kick off the month, an event in Winchester is scheduled for this Saturday, February 1st.
At 1:00 p.m. on the corner of Main and Lexington Avenue, banners will be revealed as trailblazers from the community are honored and highlighted for their impact as local citizens seek to recognize their history and heritage.
Families, residents, and more are welcome to attend the event, which many locals hope will become a yearly tradition.
Questions can be directed to Deatra Newell at 859-771-0029.
