David Cantrell, Jr., 52, of Winchester, KY died at Select Specialty Hospital in Danville, KY on January 9, 2025. He was the son of Georgia Ann Johnson Cantrell of Winchester, KY and the late David Cantrell, Sr.

He is survived by his loving sister Mary Elizabeth (Joe) Riley, niece Megan (Troy) True, nephew Benjamin Riley and Ben’s fiance’ Annie Smith, uncle Jerry Wayne (Debbie) Johnson, former wife Donna Lane and special friends George and Deborah Fraley and Lisa Randall and her son Matt all of Winchester, KY and numerous cousins and friends.

He was the grandson of the late Troy and Jean Cantrell of Mouthcard, KY and Melvin and Liza Johnson of Prestonsburg, KY who he loved with all his heart. He really missed his late special aunts Loretta Sue Cantrell Hazlett and Sherlene Johnson and late uncle Homer Hazlett of Winchester, KY.

Scobee Funeral Home will take care of his remains. His wishes were to be cremated and his remains kept by his Mom. He did not want any services. Just remember him as he was in his younger days the fun loving, motorcycle riding person.
