Update: According to the Winchester Police Department, the subject has been located and returned to the Clark County Detention Center. 

In a breaking news alert, an inmate has escaped from the Clark County Courthouse. 

The information was broken to the public by the Winchester Police Department’s Facebook page just after 1:00 p.m. 

“We have been notified of an escaped inmate from the Clark County Courthouse. If you see someone matching his description call 911 immediately. Additional law enforcement personnel are in the area looking for him,” it states.

According to the same post, the escaped inmate’s name is Malachi Gibson. 

Gibson is described as standing 5’10, weighing 135 pounds and was last seen wearing a red hoodie and sweatpants. 

Individuals are encouraged to be cautious and not approach the inmate.
