Charles James Fleming, aged 92, of Milton, FL, passed away on November 3, 2024. Born on August 17, 1932, Charles was a respected educator and a devoted member of his community.Charles proudly served in the Air Force during the Korean War, bringing dedication and honor to his country. After his military service, he embarked on a fulfilling career as an educator, positively impacting many lives through his commitment to teaching. A loyal family man, Charles was deeply rooted in his faith, actively participating in the Winchester Church of God in Kentucky and the Christian Life Church in Florida. He was known for his unwavering support and love for his family and friends. Charles is survived by his daughters, Dianna (Gary) Wiseman and Katrina (Brian) Conn; grandchildren, Brent (Becky) Altman, Matthew Altman, Nancy (Michael) Allen, and Sarah (Nick) Holmes; and great-grandchildren, Tahirah Lawson, Olivia Lawson, Kaitlyn Altman, and Madelyn Holmes. He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Fleming; wife, Veatrice Conkwright Fleming; daughter Judy G. Fleming; and grandchildren, Melissa Wiseman and Joshua Wiseman. A graveside service will be held at Winchester Cemetery on November 23, 2024, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice in honor of Charles’s compassionate spirit and his enduring care for others.
