Jerry Roger Ackerman, Sr., 76, widower of Beverly Ackerman, passed away on July 13, 2024. A native of Charleston, SC, he was born on July 13, 1948, to the late John R. and Rosa W. Ackerman. He worked for Winchester Farms Dairy for 33 years.

He is survived by two sons Jerry (Denise) Ackerman, Jr., Wilson (Holly) Ackerman and daughter Paula Ackerman; granddaughters Sarah E Ackerman, Kaitlyn M Ackerman, Emily E Ackerman; grandson Samuel A Ackerman; great grandchildren, Zane M Ackerman and Jaxon R Ackerman; sibling James A Ackerman (Karen); grand-dogs Jupiter, Hazel, Maggie, Zeke; and a host of extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Beverly E Ackerman; brother Jackie B Ackerman; sister Shirley D Ackerman; and grand-dogs Conan, Shelby, Sophie, Victor and Belle.

Services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry R. Ackerman, Jr., Lee Wigginton, Bobby Wigginton, Scott Ackerman, Barry Edwards and Perry Squires. Granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel.
