CC Distinguished Young Woman to be decided on Saturday

The Distinguished Young Women Program is returning to Clark County with a list of ten local candidates.
The program to decide who will be named Distinguished Young Woman (DYW) of Clark County will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 1st, in the George Rogers Clark High School auditorium.
The school’s address is 2745 Boonesboro Road.
Tickets can be purchased at the door starting at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
DYW is an annual scholarship program with nearly 30 counties from the Commonwealth participating.
College and cash scholarships are awarded at the state level, with millions in college-granted scholarships also available.
DYW is giving away over $12,000 in cash scholarships this year.
Former George Rogers Clark High School student Claire Martin was named Distinguished Young Women of Kentucky in 2022, and recent graduate Madelyn Goeing finished third overall last year and won in the overall fitness category.
At state competition, candidates are assessed in five categories: scholastic, interview, talent, self-expression, and fitness.
The 2025 Distinguished Young Woman of Clark County will compete in the state program in January 2025.

- Madilyn Stotts – daughter of Isaac and Kayla Stotts
- Grace Owen – daughter of John and Renae Owen
- Sydney Antoniou – daughter of Jon and Lisa Antoniou
- Cadence Johnson – daughter of Christy Hatfield; Clifton and Sarah Johnson
- Olivia Brownlee – daughter of Kyle and Michelle Brownlee
- Meredith Boone – daughter of Lee and Dionne Boone
- Maddie Vaughn – daughter of Manny and Colby Zamora; and Jared and Wendy Vaughn
- Caroline Harper – daughter of Ben and Amy Harper
- Ella Mattingly – daughter of Matt and Sarah Mattingly
- Rileigh Reed – daughter of Sherri Reed; Robert Reed
