Positive news has once again come to Clark Regional Medical Center (CRMC).
According to a news release, in recognition of her demonstration of compassion and an unwavering commitment to helping others, CRMC Director of Physician Services Mary Spicer has been recognized as CRMC’s 2024 Mercy Award winner. The honor is given to an employee from each of Lifepoint Health’s facilities that best represents the spirit and values of the company and whose actions touch the lives of others.
Since being established in 2001, the Mercy Award is an annual recognition program honoring the life and contributions of Scott Mercy, founding chairman and CEO of Lifepoint. The award is considered the highest honor that a Lifepoint employee can receive.
“At Clark Regional Medical Center, we are committed to advancing Lifepoint’s mission of making communities healthier, and our devoted team members are critical to this work – especially Mary Spicer”,” said Matt Smith, the chief executive officer of CRMC. “I have had the privilege of working with Mary for over ten years and cannot say enough about her continued dedication and commitment to making Clark Regional’s Physician Practices the best they can be!”
As an employee of CRMC for nearly 15 years, Spicer is described as always having a positive attitude and striving for success while empowering each of her staff members to be the best version of themselves. She also focuses on checking in and promoting mental wellbeing.
Each facility winner, including Spicer, will be considered for Lifepoint’s 2024 company-wide Mercy Award. The winner of such an award will be announced this summer and honored during a ceremony in Nashville, Tenn., in August.
