Wanda Faye Everman, 79, widow of Bennie Lewis Everman, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 17th, 2024. Born June 4th, 1944, in Lexington, Ky. She was the daughter of the late James Kelley and Doris May Kelley. Wanda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a member of Calvary Christian Church and a business owner alongside her husband of Hickman Street Grocery for over 40 years. She never saw a stranger and made many friends throughout her life. Wanda and Bennie loved to travel and camp with their friends. You could find them on the weekends around a campfire or on a boat. She loved her family and spending time with them was very important to her. Sunday dinners were ready after church to gather for family time. Wanda and several other mothers organized the NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Support group in Winchester for their children that needed help. That group is still active today. She will be greatly missed by all but happy in the presents of her heavenly Father.
She is survived by a son, Dickie Ray (JuaNita) Everman, Winchester; grandchildren, Pamela Jacques, Christopher Mullins, Rachel (Josh) Fairchild, Rebecca (Brandon) Wessling, Jessica (Nick) Heatherly; Great-grandchildren, Amber Young, Tequilla Barker, Shiann Mullins, Strode Everman, Cayden Everman, Abigail Fairchild and Benjamin (Bennie) Fairchild; Great-Great-Grandchild, John Ethan Young. Several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years. Also preceded in death were two sons, Rickie Lewis Everman, David Wayne Everman; Grandson, Christopher David Everman; Brother, Jim Rainey and Sister, Jerry Fuller.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 23rd, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Funeral services will be Friday May 24th, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Scobee Funeral Home by Pastor James Bush. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Phillip Berry, Mike Snowden, Josh Fairchild, Jimmy Rainey, Mike Rainey, and Nick Heatherly.
