Henry Branham not only served Clark County for over ten years as judge-executive, but was also very active in local politics as chair of the Clark County Democratic Executive Committee.
In email correspondence, Branham confirmed that he stepped down from the position at a meeting on Tuesday, April 23.
As stated on his X profile, Branham is – among other characteristics – a lifetime public servant and strong supporter of Clark County Public Schools.
However, Branham will remain active.
“I will remain on the committee, as a member, and will help our new Chair in any way I can,” Branham wrote.
Sarah Criswell, a resident of Winchester who – according to her Facebook page – is a targeted case manager at New Vista KY – has been named the new chair.
With the need to appoint a male as vice chair, Suzy Dent resigned from the position.
Kenneth Aitken, an independent contractor, was named the new vice chair.
