Franklin Fox Vermillion, 93, widower of Donna Grace Parichy Patzer Vermillion, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. Born in Clark County, Kentucky, on January 7, 1931, he was the son of the late Stanley and Elsie Fox Vermillion. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Gideon’s, Kentucky Retired Teachers Association, the Historical Society, and Leed’s Theater. Frank was also a Lykins Foundation Board member. He was a teacher and principal for 40 years.
He is survived by his sons, Stanley (Kim) Vermillion and Albert (Vonda) Vermillion; grandchildren, Kamille Vermillion, Ethan Vermillion, and Van Vermillion; several nieces, nephew, Linda Adams, John Faulkner, Mary Sue Faulkner, and Diana Royse; and extended family members.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded by his first wife of 55 years, Ruth Faulkner Vermillion and his brother, Milton (Carolyn)Vermillion.
Funeral services are at 1:00PM, Friday, March 15, 2024, at the First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ethan Vermillion, Van Vermillion, and Kamille Vermillion. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobbie Jean Battaglia, Eleanor Francis Kelly, Candi Fox Quisenberry, and Boonesboro Trail Staff.
Family will receive friends from 11:30PM until time of service.
