A body was found in Winchester on Thursday evening.

Clark County Coroner Neal Oliver confirmed that the body of a man was found on Redwing Drive and that his office was still trying to verify the man’s identity.

The body has been sent to Frankfort for an autopsy by the State Medical Examiner’s Office, Oliver said.

The cause of death is unknown and the matter is being handled as a death investigation by the Winchester Police Department.
