Bradford pleaded guilty at Floyd Circuit Court on Thursday to eight counts of sodomy third degree and 11 counts of Sex Abuse First Degree.  Both charges are Class D Felonies which carry a 1– to 5-year prison sentence on each count. In June 2022, she was indicted by a Floyd County Grand Jury for 11 counts of unlawful transaction with a minor, first degree, a Class B (10-20 years) or Class C felony (5-10 years) depending on the victim’s age; one count of sodomy, second degree, a Class C felony; and seven counts of sodomy, third degree.

During her plea hearing, Bradford admitted to sexually abusing two minors between 1997 and 2007, both of whom she held a position of authority over as their coach and teacher during the victims’ middle and high school years.

As part of her plea agreement, Bradford agreed to serve a three-and-a-half-year sentence.  She will also be a lifetime sex-offender registrant under the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry which includes five years of post-incarceration supervision by the Department of Corrections.  In addition, a 10-year Interpersonal Protective Order against Bradford will take effect at the time of sentencing.

Bradford had been the assistant principal at South Floyd Elementary School.

Kentucky State Police investigated the case.  Special Prosecutions Unit Executive Director Rewa Zakharia prosecuted the case before the Floyd Circuit Court on behalf of the Commonwealth.  Erica Paske with the Attorney General’s Office of Victim Advocacy provided assistance to Bradford’s victims.
