The Winchester McDonald’s, located at 1520 West Lexington Ave., has new owners.

Ohio-based entrepreneurs Stacy and Benny Scott recently expanded their ownership to include ten new locations in Kentucky by acquiring Healy Family McDonald’s.

The Scotts have managed the Scott Family McDonald’s organization for 25 years, but their connection to Kentucky runs deep; both are graduates of the University of Kentucky, and Stacy is originally from Mt. Sterling.

Both Scotts are excited about the move.

“Returning to Kentucky feels like coming home. Our roots run deep here, and we’re thrilled to expand our family’s commitment to these communities,” said Stacy.

The Scotts emphasize the importance of giving back to the community.

“We believe in giving back to the communities we serve. It’s about creating opportunities, supporting our employees, and being an integral part of the neighborhoods where our restaurants operate,” said Benny.

The Scott’s commitment has been honored by the eatery’s parent corporation.

In 2021, the Scotts received the Fred L. Turner Golden Arch Award, the highest accolade bestowed upon McDonald’s owners/operators. This award acknowledges exceptional dedication to delivering an exemplary customer experience, fostering a positive work environment for employees, and their passionate commitment to community support.
