Veterans Day takes place on Saturday, Nov. 11 and will be celebrated throughout Clark County.

Here is a full list of the festivities:

Nov. 6-Nov. 10

• Veteran radio interviews at Gateway Radio 990 AM & 102.9 FM. Mornings on Main from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Nov. 9

• Veterans Day assembly at Robert D. Campbell Junior High School. 620 Boone Avenue. 9:30 a.m., with breakfast served immediately after that.

• 248th Marine Corps Birthday Celebration at Golden Corral. 6:00 p.m.

Nov. 10

• Veterans Day celebration at Clark County Preschool. 30 Beckner Street. Students will dress up in red, white and blue.

• Veterans Day breakfast and assembly. Baker Intermediate School. 1645 Martin Luther King Drive. Breakfast at 8:00 a.m. Assembly at 9:30 a.m.

• Veterans Day assembly at Conkwright Elementary School. 160 Mt. Sterling Road. 9:00 a.m.

• Veterans Day assembly at Shearer Elementary School. 244 East Broadway. 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

• Veterans Day salute drive through. Strode Station Elementary School. 1750 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

• Veterans Day assembly. Justice Elementary School. 150 Mt. Sterling Road. 10:00 a.m.

• Veterans Day program at Boonesboro Trail Senior Living. 2101 Old Boonesboro Road. 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Nov. 11

• Starbucks. Free tall, hot, or cold brewed coffee for veterans, military service members, and spouses.

• Veterans Day breakfast at Trinity Church of God. 285 Winn Avenue. 9:00 a.m.

• Veterans recognition and celebration. City Hall. 32 Wall Street. 11:00 a.m. Presentation of the Flags by JROTC. Special music included. Free boxed lunches are provided for veterans.

• Applebee’s Grill & Bar. 1525 West Lexington Avenue, Winchester Plaza. Active-duty military, veterans, reserves & National Guard receive a full-size entree and a $5 Bounce Back Card to redeem for dine-in, To Go, or delivery within a three-week redemption window. 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. Must show identification; dine-in only.

Nov. 13

• Military Appreciation Night. Golden Corral. 1500 Bypass Road. 5:00 p.m. to close. Includes a free “thank you” meal when dining in.

• Financial assistance & services are available to veterans via the Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program (SSVF). Kentucky River Foothills will assist with housing, rental deposits, rent payments, utility deposits, and more. Call (859) 408-7017.
