Emmett Irvine Grissam, 74, husband of Eva Stewart Grissam, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family, in Winchester, Kentucky. Born on January 27, 1949, he was the son of the late Dayton Grissam and Polly Allnutt. Emmett retired from Toyota Motor Manufacturing and previously worked for IBM of Lexington. He was also the owner of T&G Shell Station.

In addition to his loving wife of 56 years, he is survived by three children, Sherry Grissam (John Kline), Emmett Grissam, Jr. (Jennifer), and Kimberly Grissam (Leighanne Wilson); grandchildren, Hayden Elliott, Karlee Grissam, Ryan James, Ashley James Todd (Owen), Sarah James, and Jacob Grissam; great grandson, Ryder Elliott; brothers, Rodger Grissam (Monica), Winston Grissam, Sr. (Sharline), and Gene Allnutt (Cindi Woosley).

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Carvel Grissam.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel from 5:00-7:00PM.

Funeral services will be at 11:00AM, Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the Leon Pace Memorial Chapel by Dr. Todd Rader. A burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Todd Honaker, Logan Honaker, Jeremy Banks, Billy Willoughby Jr., Steve Curtis Jr., Robbie Willoughby, Jon McKinny, John Kline, and Kobey Morton. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Willoughby Sr., Owen Todd, and Ryan James.
